Well, I better save this and post it before I lose connection yet again.

Evil-Angel

Evil-Angel spent the night with a friend last weekend. When I went to go pick her up Saturday afternoon, the friend’s mother and I talked.

She said, “I have to tell you what you daughter did.”

“Oh no,” I thought, “this can not be good.”

“When Chance was changing her shirt, I saw her tattoo.” “I asked her, “Did that hurt?”

“Evil-Angel told me that Momma had them put me to sleep before they did it,” She said.

“I believed her. Then the little rat just started rolling.”

I replied, “Yeah, that is Evil-Angel for you.”

Evil-Angel had put one of those temporary tattoos on her stomach. It looked very real and it was pretty fresh. She can come with stuff pretty quick for a little girl. If she can come up with a way to get you; she will. She loves to make people laugh. Especially me & her sister. She is quite the character.

She was only about 6-7 months old when she realized that she could make me laugh. Upon making me laugh, she would do her antics over and over again.

HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY

That's It!

I have had it! I quit!  I am giving my notice Friday.  The only reason why I am giving tham a notice is because I am going to try and collect my hoilday pay.  I have had enough of all the bull shit.  Everytime I do something (get a personal phone call, look up something on the net or pretty much anything that is not reated to my job)  I get a lecture for it.  The other woman that works here in the office can do anything and nothing is said to her. Not one damn word! Even after she has tied up the only busissnes line with a personal phone call for 30 minutes.  And the Asshole will do it all with a smile on his face.

I will lose internet connection for a while, but I will have one up and running as soon as I can.  I came into work a little early this morning and took some pictures.  Things like the heat sorce here at the office.  It is a 20 lb propane bottle with one of those burners on it.  The tighass is too cheap to buy another source of heat.  He wants to wait until this fall.  I know that they have enough money to purcahse a unit becasue I see everything that comes through here but the check boo itself.  Then there is the bathroom faucets.  They do not work.  He will not fix them either.  When something was said about it, he put some black tape on the hot water handel.  Some kind of redneck engineering.  Now the hot water barley comes on.  But you better hurry, that water gets pretty hot fast.  I may not need these pictures, but if anything ever comes up I will have them.

I will be taking a huge risk at with the new job.  You live and learn I guess.  Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I will try and leave a couple of post before I go.  We will see how everything goes between now and then.

Must go.

Yet Another Day at Work

Those of you that read my blog on a regular basis well know that I work for a complete and total Jackass! Now he is into making my look like a Jackass. Here is yet another asinine story about my job for you....

We have a costumer in Lebanon, MO that orders fiberglass angle that is used to manufacture their product.  They have not placed an order in over a month. Owner was getting very anxious for an order. "Are they going to order?" "When are they going to order?" "They need to place an order." "blah, blah, blah....."

January 12-14 most of Missouri was hit hard by one hell of an ice storm. Freezing rain spread over 34 counties  in Missouri alone. Over 300,000 homes were without power (This does not include any of the other states that were hit). Most were without power &/or heat for several days. Street and highways were blocked with downed trees and powerlines. This topic was briefly discussed at work the following Monday.  The ice storm was predicted to hit in the area that we live in.  We we thankful  that it did not hit our area.  The next day, Owner told me to call our costumer and ask if they were going to order anything.  Others in the office mentioned to him that they may have been in the ice storm and might be close.  Sure enough, I called and there was no answer.

He had me call again the next week.  They had just got power to the offices, but they did not have power to the plant. So, no one was working.  He had me call again last week.  This time the woman in charge of the purchasing was there.  She said that she would have to get back to me.

This morning he told me to call again.  He carried on like a spoiled little child asking for something he had  already been told no for.  So I call.  The Purchasing Manager told me that she would have to check their inventory and she would get back to me.  I received a fax from her with a purchase order on it.  It was not due for another two weeks and was not as much as he had expected.  He made me call again and ask what was going on with them.  So, I called and asked, in a nicer, round about way.  She explained that they were very  behind on production due to the ice strom (which is what I had been trying to explain to Owner).  She gave me a web address so that we could look at the ice storm and the damage it had caused.  It know that it was also to get me off her back.  But the whole thing made me look like a jerk for calling and pestering her for a PO.  These people are just beginning to get back on track after all of that devastation.

Anywho, I looked up the pics and showed them to Owner so that he would get off my back.  Will it shut him up for a while? Time will tell.

Monday Blues

Hate Mondays. All of the snow is melted and now everything is wet and muddy. Feeling really blah today.  Does not help that I was sick over the weekend.  I did not stray too far away from the bathroom.

Today, Snake is a legal licensed driver.  Agh!  Soon, I will be staying up late at night worrying about him being out so late.  You know teenagers, if they are told to be home by 11 pm; they will not pull up into the drive until 10:59 and 59 seconds.  He is also trading his S-10 for a 98 Mustang GT.   I have been threatening to put a restrictor plate on it.  He is a good driver, but that does not keep a parent from worrying.

Must Go.

February 02

Hiatus

It was a good thing too.  This has been some week! The computer here at work crashed Tuesday afternoon.  So, we nuked the computer and had to reinstall everything.  I am still trying to get everything set up like I had it. I think that I am having more problems with it now than before.

Wednesday it snowed about three inches, maybe more.  I know that does not sound like much, but where I live, it is.  It does not help that the tires on my truck are almost bald.  I Told Owner that I was going home.

" Oh, they will have the snow plows out here in just a little bit. Then the roads will be clear," he said.

"I am not willing to count on it.  My tires are almost bald and I do not want to get stuck here," I replied.

" Ok, if you have to, he said.

I was preparing for him to say that he wanted me to stay here, and I was preparing my answer.  Then he wanted me to finish the quote that I was working on.  Lucky for him, I already had it done.  I was going home!  It was a good thing too.  The farther that I drove toward home, the worst the road conditions were.  I slid down the driveway sideways.

The thing is:  in the state that I live in, they are not very prepared for inclement weather. Also, they do not have as much equipment or man power in the rural areas. By the time they get the snow plows out and going; it may be too late. The snow is very wet  and slick.  Not light and powdery light up north. Plus there are several curves and hills to worry about.  The road can become quite dangerous in just a few shots hours or less.  Experience play a big roll in being able to get around on all this white stuff.  Even the experiences ones can slip up sometimes.  They did not get around to plow the road that we live on until about noon on Thursday.

I went home at noon on Wednesday. What usually is a 30 minute drive turned into an hour.  I just took my time.  When I got home, I grabbed my camera, headed out the door and took two rolls of film. I can not wait to see them.  Hopefully, I can get them developed this weekend.

I could have made it to work Thursday, but I stayed home.  Oh, it was great.  I got to spend time with the kids, clean the house, did a lot of laundry and just fiddle with some things.  It was a very nice day.  At the end of the day, I had a profound sense of accomplishment.

I did not call into work yesterday.  We do not have a land line and there is not cell phone service where we live.  It is down in a holler.  All of you country folk will know what that is. LOL  I was hoping that I might be fired today.  No such luck. Oh well, the serarch for a new job continues.

I will get around to seeing everyone Monday.  I have been having issues with this computer all day.

Must go.

Integrity

Stitch is a mechanic, a very good mechanic. He has his own customer base where he works.  What I mean by that is; when Stitch went to work at this shop and people that know him found out, they brought their vehicles to him for him to work on.  They also tell other to take their vehicle to him. In the past, there are some that have even drove all the way out to where we live looking for him to work on their vehicle.  Here is one of the main reasons why people look for him to work on their vehicle.

Stitch had a customer that has a problem with a semi truck.  Stitch told him what was wrong with it and what part needed to replaced.  The man bought the part and brought it by the shop to make sure that it was the right one.  Stitch told him that it would work, but if it ever when out again to buy the heavy duty one.  The one he bought was not heavy duty and would not last as long.  It might last years but it might also go out next week.  The heavy duty one cost more but was more capable of handling the load.  Therefore it would last much longer.

After the Man left, this guy that works with Stitch asked him, "Why did you tell him that?"  "I would of just kept replacing the cheaper part  every time it went out and charged him every time.  You could make more money that way."

Stitch told him, "That is not the way he does things and that is why they come back.  They know that when I fix it, I will fix it right."   "They also tell other people and I get more customers.  That is how I make more money."

My husband may be a bad boy, but he is a real good man!  He got pretty sick over the weekend and now I think that he has pneumonia.  I can not get him to go to the doctor.  Men!  So, I have to play nurse now.  ( No dirty ideals now)  I call him and tell him to take care of himself so that I do not have to kick his ass.  Yep, he is 6'5" and 220 lbs I am 5' and 115 lbs.  Do you think that he believes me?

Must Go.

January 25

Coworker

Everyone has one; unless you do not work.  Even at that, you have one at some point in time.  The annoying, know-it-all coworker.   Yeah, you know the one.  My coworker used to work for an accountant.  She believes that she knows all about the Earned Income Credit.  As one that has been through it several times, I know that she is wrong.  Oh, but you can not tell her; She knows all about it.  Whatever.  Stitch and I have had this round with the IRS because our children where claimed on our exes' tax returns.  Well, not really with the IRS because according to their rules we were the qualifying parents.  The exes had it out with the IRS when it finally caught up with them.

It is really kind of funny. She worked preparing taxes for an accountant, and she has no ideal which parent gets the earned income credit.  No wonder so many people try to claim EIC when they do not have the right to.  My exes tax preparer tried to tell him that since I did not have a job, he could claim the girls.  So, wrong.  My husband & I filled jointly on our tax return and claimed all of the kids.  It took about three years to caught up with him, but he had to pay it all back.  Plus, he is not allowed to claim any EIC for ten years.  Thats what he gets for being stupid.

So, do you have any "annoying coworker" or "stupid ex" stories?

Must go.

Changing Things Up A Bit

Bear with me everyone.  I am changing things up a little bit here on my space.  Just a few changes; Nothing too big.  I am also going to start saving what I have wrote.  Just in case.

It did not ice up like expected.  I wish it would have.  I would have rather stayed at home and cleaned my house, split wood,  pulled out my teeth....you get the ideal.  I am currently trying to look up the long term effects of exposure to resin and ground up fiberglass.

Pay Day

Today Stitch will get the first paycheck that he has received in quite some time. We are trying to figure out which bills to pay first. If everything goes right, we should be caught up on our bills that are behind by the end of February (Income tax returns will help too). Hey, just in time for my birthday. I want to get a family portrait done. That is my birthday wish anyway. The rest of the money will be put toward building our new house. It will take some time, but I am excited about it. I am going to have closets in our new house!

I cashed my check during lunch.  I have worked here for 1 year and do you think that I got a Raise?  Do ya?  Nope, nada, nix, nine.

Cold Weather Clothes

In the Ozarks the weather can change dramatically in just a few shot hours.  Up until last weekend, we have had a rather mild winter.  We did, however, experience Monsoon type weather with temps in the upper 50's.  That has been replaced with freezing temps.  This changed literally overnight.  With the sudden weather change, my system has gone into shock.  I have had to dig out my cold weather clothes.  Some people  have their fat clothes; I have my cold weather clothes.  They may not be very pretty, but they are so nice and warm.   I hate thermal underwear because you can not take them off easily if it gets warmer outside/inside. I like to wear layers.   I have been know to start shedding clothes at a moments notice (Not all of them. So, don't get any funny ideals!).  So, I have my trusty pair of Carhartt bibbed overalls.   Bought them a couple of years ago on clearance.  Plus I have a Camouflage coat that I received as a Christmas gift 2005.    Yes, I wear camouflage; I am a redneck.

We have had a few ice storms over the years.  I know what it is like and feel for those that are stuck in it without power.  After a few days, you get stir crazy.  If you are lucky, you have propane/natural gas heat.  Then there is also the dilemma with food.  You tend to run out of something to eat within just a few days.  And trust me people, 4x4 vehicles do not go very well on the ice.  They are great for snow.  I have seen some horrible wrecks because some think they can brave it in their 4x4.  This picture is not a 4x4 vehicle, but you get the ideal.  It was the only one that I could find right now.  This was my Dad's wrecker.  He, for one, loved to see the bad weather coming.  It made him quite a lot of money.

They are perdicting ice or snow for my little part of the world this weekend.  If I get snow in, I will look for some more pictures of my Dad pulling people out of the snow.  Please be safe.

Must Go.

My Job Again

Yes, I am bitching about my job again.  The state in which I live just raise the minimum wage to $7.50 an hour.  I only make 50 cents and hour more than minimum wage.  My husband is very pissed off about this fact.  He wants me to ask for a rise.  I want to ask for a raise.  But should I ask for a raise when I am planning not to stay here very much longer?

Stitch took the job offer and is working full time now. Rain or shine.  Two incomes will help us get caught up on some of our bills that added up while we were moving and Stihl didn't feel like looking for timber.  But I know he thinks that I should quit if they do not give me a raise.  I guess that I could really start hitting the pavement full time and look for another job if I quit.

Must Go.

Just Another Day At Work

Today I have been at this crappy place for a year. Yea!  Totally not!  A year ago, I actually liked my job.  New employees usually do.  But that was all before the broken promises, broken a/c, broken heater and broken faith.  I would love to just quit, but we are still recovering from Stitch not having any income.  Oh, I am looking forward to the day when I tell them that I am outta here!   Until then I can only dream.  Pisces are big dreamers.  So, off I go to dreamland.  Wish me luck.

Must go.

Happy Birthday Sky!

She came into this world weighing in at only four pounds six ounces.  Very soon afterwards, she weighed only three pounds nine ounces.  She struggled to breathe and had to have help.  Tubes and devices were attached to every inch of her fragile little body.  Momma was not allowed to hold her.  The only comfort that Momma could provide was just holding a tiny little hand. Momma had been told that she may not live.  After some intense care from doctors and nurses,  She finally began to make improvements.  Slowly, she was able to breathe on her own.  Soon after she was able to eat.  Talk from the doctor said that she may be able to go home if she can gain weight.  Then the waiting game began.  Every day Momma would ask if this was the day.  Finally the day came!  Momma dress her in her "going home" dress.  Special care was still needed at home and doctors appointments every few days.  She pulled through and proved herself to be a fighter.  And on January 13, she will be 10 years old!

Happy Birthday Sky!

Explanation

Typically I keep my pills with my make-up.  When I put my make-up on in the mornings, I remember to take my pills. Yesterday I got my pills out and put three of them in a old vintage make-up compact which I keep in my purse in case I forgot to take one that morning.  I have a very small purse.  Anyway, I remember getting into the pills but just could not remember if I actually took one or not.  Saturday, I forgot to take one and when I realized this I discovered that my compact was empty and I was over and hour away from home.

I am putting together a recap of the year 2006; just a few things that happened in my little world last year.  It was not a good year, but my family & I survived.  We are doing things a little differently this year.

Meds

I forgot to mention that I think that I forgot to take my meds today.  Since you can overdose on them, I have opted not to take one even though I can not remember taking my pill.  I am just not sure.  I will know by tomorrow.  I will be filling dizzy until the newly taken pill kicks in.  I forgot to take my pill Saturday and had quite the episode that night.  I just lost my temper and could not get it under control.  It just did not want to be controlled.  I could only let it play out.  I was in my bedroom by myself.  I think that everyone was too smart to come in.  I am just wondering if something more is going on than depression.

Must Go.

Broken Heater

Stitch is busy moving all of his tools to the shop.  I am hoping to have enough money soon to be able to get my film developed.  Then I will be able to post some new pics of my helluns.  I love photos.  I like to look at the photos that others post on their blog.  I am also addicted to Flicker.com.  I forgot my password yesterday and thought that I may have a break down.  I remembered it with no problem at all today.

The heater here a work is broken again, no surprise.  The upper portion on my body is pretty warm since I have on a sweater, a hoodie and a winter coat.  From the waist down is another story.  The cold air just keeps radiating up from the concrete floor.  Burrr!  I need some of those Toasty Toes for my frozen piggys.

Must Go.

Flaring Tempers

Catfights

It maybe time to get rid of a cat.  Getting woke up at midnight by the sound of two cats going at it is beginning to wear on my nerves.  We have had Rastis for about three years and Tiger for two.  Granted they are bound to fight until they become use to each other, but that should have passed already.  The dominate cat, or leader, has long been established. Rastis hates Tiger.  If Tiger wonders anywhere near Rastis or even looks at Rastis, the fight is on. Another cat that we have, Shadow, barley tolerates Tiger. Rastis and Shadow get along perfectly. There are no female cats around so that’s not it.  We have had other cats, and they did not like this cat either.  No other cat has ever liked him, male or female.  So, I wonder what is wrong with this cat.  Does he have bad manners or something? Does he smell funny? I do not know what his deal is, but it is time for him to go.

 Must Go.
